The Real Estate Institute of Victoria last night released additional detail concerning activities that are permitted in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Permitted activities in Metropolitan Melbourne for those selling during COVID-19 include:
- Properties sold prior to the begining of 'Stay at Home' restrictions are permitted to settle and your agent is able to provide keys upon settlement of the property. This applies to residential and commercial premises
- Private appointments are permitted for pre-settlement inspections at those properties that were sold prior to the begining of 'Stay at Home' restrictions
- Professional Building and pest inspections are permitted for properties sold prior to 'Stay at Home' restrictions
- Valuers are permitted to conduct a valuation for properties sold prior to 'Stay at Home' restrictions
- When a residential lease expires First National Real Estate Neilson Partners are permitted to deal with tenants whose lease expires during the ‘Stay at Home’ period
- Private appointments for a final inspection at the end of a lease is permitted during the 'Stay at Home' period
- Apointments and inspections for any new listings are NOT permitted
- First National Real Estate Neilson Partners are permitted to perform services related to the settlement of residential and commercial sales or the end of leases, including removalists, in compliance with the Workplace Directions
- Property Managers are permitted to attend to emergency maintenance and applicable trades are permitted to attend to such emergencies
- Auctions are permitted online ONLY. NO public auction is permitted to proceed during Stage 4 COVID-19 restrictions
