The 2023 Dulux Colour Forecast is out now.
Inspired by nature with early tones, natural textures and summery hues, the Dulux Paint colour forecast for 2022 is here.
Think warm, calm and gentle earth tones and dreamy fun colours in three colour palette’s that are set to influence interior trends for the coming year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has once again seen approximately half of the Australian population in lockdown throughout the year, all with plenty of time on their hands to identify areas within their homes that could do with a ‘refresh’.
When interviewed for Vogue Living Australia, Dulux’s Colour and Co-ordination Manager Andrea Lucerna-Orr says, ‘Now that we are spending more time in our homes, it’s important that each space feels different – particularly when working or studying from home’ and with a range of bold and dramatic, earthy and soothing and fun and playful hues, the 2022 Dulux colour forecast does just that.
Flourish
Flourish is a mix of sensual hues designed to inspire a sense of adventure into the home. It features colours such as petrol blue, desert red and dusty rose. It is warm and neutral and designed to encourage us to rediscover our love of travel.
Re-write design rules with expression, layers and personality. Use rich fabrics such as velvet and leather and add a modern touch with marble and metallics.
Restore
Restore is soothing with a calming neutral palette and earthy tones that do not demand attention. Comfort is they key with this palette that features buttercream, pumice, clay, rich forest green, moss and charcoal-purple to restore the soul.
Use natural fibres, timber and textured stone with minimal detailing, soft neutrals and muted tones to nourish your senses.
Wonder
Finally Wonder is designed to welcome the fun back into the home. It is inspired by colours of the 80’s and aimed at bringing joy and optimism back into the home. Mix and match bright colours and be playful with a mix of cornflour blue, lilac, lemon, green quartz and rose gold.
Celebrate with different patterns and textures, woven rattan, eclectic pieces paired with florals and sustainably sourced or recycled furniture.
