As conditions continue to change at lightning speed in relation to the Covid 19 pandemic, First National Neilson Partners are also having to adapt to the restrictions and navigate the new real estate landscape. Like many businesses, we are having to determine different ways in which to provide clients services whilst keeping our tenants, landlords and staff members safe and protected. Many of our property managers and support staff are working remotely, to avoid unnecessary trips to the office environment and only venturing outdoors for condition reports, outgoing inspections and private inspections/signups.
But whilst our processes are adapting and the day to day work flow continues, it is important to realise that stress management will be the key to staying happy and healthy whilst we support our customers and colleagues through the Coronavirus crisis. Lets face it, we are all social creatures and the isolation aspect of this pandemic, is crushing for many in our society. The Neilson Partners family is coming together to look out for each other each more than ever before and we hope that’s some of the following information may assist others during these difficult times.
GENERAL WELLBEING
Don’t forget, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. It’s important we acknowledge that stopping to take a breath, take a short walk, or taking a moment to talk to a colleague or friend will help keep us happy, healthy and productive. So, eliminate the stressors that you can and be mindful to…
• Get good sleep
• Watch your alcohol intake
• Learn how to say no – know the limits of the assistance you can provide
• Take control of your environment – if the news/social media makes you anxious, limit your exposure to that which is essential
• Talk to your boss and colleagues – share your feelings
• Be willing to compromise – bend a little to find the middle ground
• Practice gratitude – if stress is getting you down, reflect on the good things in your life
